Evan Nicholas Jones, 20, of Middlebury, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, at 1:45 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in South Bend due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident that occurred on C.R. 8, west of C.R. 35, just before 12:30 p.m. the same day. Aug. 26, 1993 – Sept. 22, 2013

Evan was born Aug. 26, 1993, in Sturgis, Mich., to Scott A. and Candy (Stevenson) Jones. In addition to his parents, other survivors include his maternal grandparents, Gary Stevenson of White Pigeon, Mich., and Candy (Dan) Cox of Elkhart; paternal grandparents, J C and Kay Jones of Grant Center, Mich.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Evan was a graduate of Northridge High School Class of 2012, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He was attending IUSB. Evan was an active bird hunter and fisherman. He loved bonfires, sitting on tailgates and helping others. He had been employed at his parent’s business, Ben’s Soft Pretzels, since 2008 and at Chicago’s Downtown Eatery in Bristol.

Evan was a member of New Life Christian Center and active in the Jeep Squad and a proud lifetime member of the NRA.
