Eva Mae (Johnston) Felton, 81 of Centralia passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born June 4, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Gerald W. Johnston and Alma A. (Hickey) Johnston. She married Marion J. Felton on December 31, 1954 in Centralia and he preceded in death April 14, 1994.
Eva is survived by a son, Greg Felton and wife Diane of Centralia; a daughter, Diane Plassman of Centralia; five grandchildren: Jeremy Young and Sam Young of Huntsville, Alabama, Julie Lorence and husband Aaron of Centralila, Chrissy Lamczyk and husband Zack of Carlyle, and Adam Felton and Amber Heard of Centralia; six great-grandchildren: Grant Young, Ella Grace Young, Connor Lorence, Carter Lorence, Sophia Lamczyk, and Gavin Lamczyk; brother-in-law, Charles Perryman of Fairview Heights, IL; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Johnston of Centralia; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mike Bell of Centralia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-granddaughter: Celeste Young, two brothers: Gerald “June” Johnston and Robert “Bob” Johnston, and a sister, Janet Sue Perryman. Eva worked at the Centralia Sentinel for 19 years and she retired in 1995. She was a homemaker. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
