Eva “Linda” Davis, 87, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Cleveland, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord January 25, 2018.  She was born November 2, 1930 in Harmony Community in Carroll County, Mississippi to the late Brown Lee and Millie Bessie Bruce. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church.

 

Linda was an extremely good cook, and she even passed that talent down to her children. She loved to fish. Linda was an avid reader and mystery novel enthusiast. She loved to travel, but Linda would never pass up an opportunity to be with her family. She was best known for two things: speaking her mind and wearing her bright red lipstick.

 

Her late grandson, Brian Haynes, shared many good times with his Memmie.

 

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Brown Lee Jr. and Jerry Bruce; and two sisters: Virginia “Shangie” Watkins and Bessie Fancher.

 

Linda is survived by her children: Otis Lee (Patty) Bruce, Donna Cox, David (Ethel) Reetz, and Gina Haynes (Justin) Townsley; nine grandchildren; one great-greatgrandaughter, Daisy Haynes; three sisters: Mary Lehman, Greta Boone, and Bonnie Carpenter; one brother, Jimmy Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
