Eva Louise Olsen 93 died peacefully surrounded by her family on September 6, 2022.
Louise was born February 5, 1929, to Arlie and Eva Herrick Colvin in Ogden, UT.
She married Arnold E Olsen on January 17, 1946, they were married for 43 years.
Arnold and Louise had 6 children, Arnold and Ronald, Darrell, Kathy, Dale, and Dave. Her husband Arnold passed away December 28, 1988.
Louise retired from the Ogden City school lunch program where she was a manager and head cook for many years. She also helped with the Foster Grandparent Reading Program. She enjoyed helping the kids learn how to read.
Louise enjoyed cooking, sewing, ceramics, gardening, and any crafts she could get her hands on. Most of all, she loved making porcelain dolls. Sitting around her kitchen table drinking coffee, chatting with family and friends.
She is survived by her sister Beverly Child, and brother Jim Colvin, her 6 children, Arnold (Rhonda) and Ronald (Deann), Darrell, Kathy, Dale (PatSue) Dave (Lynne). Louise had 68 Grandkids, 62 great grandkids, and 3 great, great grandkids.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Arnold, her mother and father and her brother and sisters Arlene, Wayne, Jeri.
The family would like to thank South Ogden Post-Acute for taking care of her everyday needs and being there when we couldn’t. Special thanks to Fred for checking on her daily and helping us through COVID, we couldn’t have made it through without you. Thank you, CNS, for the care and compassion you provided in her final days. Especially the precious moments in her final hours.
Louise was a loved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
