Eva Layman beloved wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma was called to her eternal resting place on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Eva was born in Central, NM on May 31, 1941 to Benny and Nora Parra. She was a proud graduate of Silver City High School. After graduation, she worked at Holloman Air Force Base where she met the love of her life, Michael P. Layman. Michael and Eva were married on September 10, 1960. They had four children and lived in Albuquerque for over 50 years.

After Eva’s retirement, she was very active in her community. She utilized her special gift of crocheting and knitting talents to make blankets and various other things to lift the spirits of people in need throughout her community.

Eva loved her family immensely and never missed out on an opportunity to support her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their accomplishments and activities. Eva was the biggest cheerleader and encouragement anyone could have in life. She always shared her wisdom and stories about life. She would be the first one to celebrate your victories.
Eva unconditionally loved her husband and they shared many lasting memories together. They loved music and dancing together and sharing in the proud moments of their family. They loved the Isotopes games and traveling.

Eva leaves behind her husband, Michael; and children, Dwayne (wife Rebecca), Denise (husband Bill), David, and Donna (husband Mark); grandchildren, Nick (wife Jenny), Bryan (wife Kassie), Jennifer, Zak (wife Mackenzie), Sara, Tim, Anthony, Samantha and Derek; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Allison, Audrey, Nicholas, Jr, Sawyer, Sonny and Bodie. She is also survived by her siblings, David, Edna, Lydia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eva’s family and friends will miss her unconditional love, quick wit, humor, and compassion towards others. Most of all we will miss her physical presence watching her family succeed in life. She will forever be in our hearts. We love you mom.
