Eva J. (Colella) Harder, 79, of New Britain, passed away on Saturday January 8, 2011 at Andrew House in New Britain. She was the beloved wife for 57 years to Harold Harder. Eva was born on December 24, 1931 in Plainville, along with 5 brothers and 4 sisters, to the late Freeman and Luna (Griffin) Colella.
Eva was born and raised in Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School in 1951. Several years later, on Valentine’s Day, she met her soul mate Harold. They married and after a few years moved to New Britain where they started their family.
Along with her loving husband Harold Harder of New Britain, she leaves her 5 children Paul Harder of NY; Anita Grasso of Nevada; Eva Jalbert of Burlington; George Harder of Thomaston and Linda Lee of Nevada, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
