Eunice M. Hierholzer, age 96 of Midland, died Wednesday May 7, 2014 at her residence. The daughter of the late Harold D. and Violet A. (Ulrich) Sunday was born in Clare, Michigan on September 27, 1917. Eunice had been employed with The Dow Chemical Company first in the Lab and then was an inventory coordinator until her retirement in 1968 after 25 years of service.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women’s Club, was a member and volunteered at King’s Daughters and Sons, and volunteered at the Midland Hospital for over 14 years. Eunice was also a member of the Midland Elks Lodge 1610, enjoyed listening to music, sewing, reading and collecting antiques. On January 12, 1936 in Midland Eunice married Adolph Hierholzer. He died on July 5, 1979. The family wishes to thank Colonial Villa for the support and care given to Eunice.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda (Mark) Johnston of Midland; 3 grandchildren, Curt, Cathi & Craig Johnston; 3 great grandchildren, Justin Schreier, Sam and Claire Johnston; great great grandson, Theon Schreier; brothers, Bernard Sunday of Grand Rapids, Leonard Sunday of Clare. In addition to her husband and parents Eunice was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Sunday and a baby sister, Lucille H. Sunday.
