Eunice Esther Gregorich Sanchez stepped into the presence of her Heavenly Father on March 23, 2014. She was born on April 27, 1940 in Jibacoa, Cuba. Preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Gregorich and Adolfina Sanchez and three sisters. Eunice was a dedicated servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ since childhood, raised in her uncle’s Baptist church in Camaguey, Cuba. She was born into a large family of ten sisters and five brothers. She grew up in Camaguey, Cuba with her uncle, aunt and seven cousins, building upon her strong family and work ethic to which she maintained vigorously and spiritually until her death. She dedicated her life to her family and to the Church. During the early 60s she was a teacher for the Cuban Revolution but became disillusioned with Cuba’s Communist Regime and discontinued teaching. Ultimately, she came to the United States in 1996 to start a new adventure with the goal of helping her children and grandchildren come to the US as well. She lived with her second loving family, the Hartnett’s, in Dallas, Texas, helping to raise their three boys for 15 years. She was a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Eunice travelled extensively throughout the United States, France, Portugal, Israel and Egypt. One of her greatest joys was her travel to the Holy Land and the wonder of the pyramids in Egypt. She was a great speaker and spoke with much passion, often reciting poems at family parties and events. She is survived by her two daughters, Tarsis, Tatiana and son Manuel; five grandchildren, Natasha, Damaris, Luis Manuel, Moises and Leah; several nieces and nephews; and friends in Christ at congregations in Dallas.
