CONRON 1925 – 2021Eunice Elizabeth (nee Shay) “Bets”, age 96, on April 19, 2021 of Moylan – Rose Valley, PA.Predeceased by her husband William M. Conron Jr and her brothers William “Bill” and Howell “Lou” Shay Jr.Survived by her children Gwendolyn Wilkins (Gary), William M. III (Laura) and Stephen (Cindy), her 7 Grandchildren and her 14 Great was the daughter of Prominent Philadelphia architect Howell Lewis Shay who in his early years designed the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the US Custom House, the Packard Building and the Drake hotel, all in center city.Growing up in Swarthmore she enjoyed watching her older brothers play football and she enjoyed swimming, diving and tennis at the Rose Valley was in the first graduating class of the School in Rose Valley and received a sociology degree from the University of many years she was an executive volunteer with both the local Red Cross, and the United Way of Southeastern enjoyed the orchestra, opera, ballet, playing bridge, performing with the Rose Valley Folk, summers in Stone Harbor, sailing and going to the Wetlands a member of St Georges Church in Ardmore she was active with the clergy, the choir, the parish house and assisted with sustainable financial planning .She was a bird enthusiast who logged many lifetime first sightings throughout her worldwide travels with many of the sightings right outside her picture window at her woodland was an avid gardener with her property being a part of the local garden tour circuit along with being registered with the National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife her senior years she was a landscape designer and a one person contractor for many local families working to improve their lived a full long life, may she rest in peace.
