Eunice Bettis, of Jackson made her earthly transition Sunday, June 17, 2018, while at Jackson Medical Center. Born Nov. 22, 1937 to Ruby Franks and Jessie Bettis, she was 80 years of age. She was educated at Harper High School in Jackson.
Eunice loved spending time with her family, friends, cats and dogs.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby (Henry) Jones and Jessie Bettis; sons, Michael Anthony Bettis and Paul Edward Poole; sisters, Diane Yelder; brothers, Larry Darnell James and Otis Jackson.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her son, Wade Chapman of Jackson; stepmother, Mary Lee Betis of Jackson; four sisters, Joyce (Landon) Hamilton of Jackson, Paulette Manion of Stoughton, Mass., Yvonne Hershenson of Dorchester, Mass., and Marie (Fletcher) Law of Pelham; four brothers, Graylin (Susan) Jones of Jackson, Edward (Regina) James of Bessemer, John (debbie) Bettis of Far Rockaway, N.Y., and Danny (Barbara) Bettis of Los Angeles, Claif.; devoted cousin Addie (LC) Kimbell of Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, Russia Gaston, Larry McReynolds and family, Gadia Washington and James Jackson.
