Passed away Monday evening, June 14, 2021. Jeannie was born May 11, 1927, in Alvada, Ohio the daughter of Norbert and Helen (Gosche) Schmitz. Born and raised on their family farm, Jeannie was no stranger to hard work and keeping herself busy. During WWII she took a year break from her Senior year of high school in Carey Ohio to work in a factory making bullets for the war effort. She completed her schooling and earned her diploma the following year. Not long after the war she met her soulmate, Bud.
She was a stay-at-home mom while their children were living at home, maintaining the household and her many gardens and sewing clothes for herself and her children. She volunteered for many non-profit organizations and as many school activities as she could.
She loved to play bridge, do craft projects and bowl; keeping up with her friends socially was important to her throughout her life. Later in life she learned to play golf and became quite an accomplished golfer, with many awards and not just one, but three “hole-in-one” achievements. Jeannie was a Mary Kay Consultant for 25 years, earning “Queen of Sales” awards many times. Bud always says, “she never met a stranger” and that is what made her so loveable and such a good saleswoman.
On May 22, 1948 Jeannie was united in marriage to her loving husband for over 73 years, Henry “Bud” Pieracini who survives. Also surviving are her children, Donna Pieracini, Ronald (Jan) Pieracini, Pam (Mose) Moseley; 5 grandchildren, April, Ryan, Christine, Tyler, and Heather; 8 great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl (Alma) Schmitz; and several nieces and nephews. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents; and 3 brothers, Paul, Bob, and Jim.
