Eugene Walton was born on August 31, 1953 in Sanford, Florida to the late Robert Lee Walton, Sr. and Equilla Manuel Walton. He attended Crooms High School, but graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, FL where he served as co-class president. He received several scholarship offers, but chose to attend Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, graduating in 1975. The following year, he earned his ministerial license from Tyler International Seminar in Orlando, FL. In May, 1983, he received his Doctorate in Theology from International Seminary in Florida.

Dr. Walton worked as a sales representative for both Xerox Corporation and Warner Lambert. In 1978, he enlisted in the United States Army, and was eventually stationed at Ft.

Dr. Walton and his wife Carrie later established the Maryland Insurance Academy, teaching continuing education and insurance license and securities training. In 1993, Dr. Walton and his family returned home to Florida to be close his then ailing father.

He is preceded by his and Carrie’s daughter: Patience Walton (September 30, 1984). He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years (whom he has known for 56 years): Carrie Harper Walton; three(3) daughters: Pamela Joseph (Benjamin Joseph); Faith Bell (Chris Bell); and Hope Charles (Sheldon Charles); five (5) grandchildren: Benita Joseph; Christopher Bell; Charity Bell; Joshua Bell; and Angel Charles; one sibling: Malachi Walton; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
