Eugene R. Hamon, 89, of Freeport, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Manor Court in Freeport.Born June 8, 1922 in Freeport he was the son of Sylven and Margaret (Herbig) Hamon. He married Corrinne Harbin on January 23, 1976 and she died June 16, 2006.Eugene was a WWII Army veteran.
He worked 43 years at W.T. Rawleigh Company retiring as Vice President of Finance.He was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.Surviving are his son, Alan (Carol) Hamon, of Nekoosa, WI; 1 daughter, Sylvia (Leslie) Schrader of Freeport; 1 step son, Timothy Crawford; two stepdaughters, Cindy (John) Bradbury and Lisa Lind, both of Freeport; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 daughter, Linda Burmeister; 2 brothers, Robert and Thomas Hamon.
