Eugene Perry Hazen, 96, of Terre Haute passed away August 5, 2020 in his home.  He was born January 23, 1924 in Columbus, Indiana to Clyde and Delilah Hazen.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Barbara Larue McCoskey Hazen of Terre Haute, a daughter, Charlene Dabelow of Terre Haute, sisters; Doreen Fuller, and Carol Brown both of Brazil, Indiana, a grandson, Ryan Dabelow (Amanda) of Avon, Indiana, a granddaughter, Lacey Dabelow of New Bern, North Carolina, a grandson, Philip Dabelow of Clinton, Indiana, a granddaughter, Mandy Hazen of Terre Haute, a grandson Allen Hazen of Terre Haute, and 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde, mother, Delilah, sister, Betty Harmon, daughter, Beverly Hazen, and son, Allen Hazen.

Eugene was a Corporal in the US Army during WWII.  He also worked as a mechanic for Mikes Motor Company in Clinton, Indiana, before joining the Murdock Mine in Illinois and working as a mine inspector. He also was a talented wood worker and loved gardening and fishing.  He loved his family very much.
