On Friday, August 02, 2013, “Gene” departed from this life at the Hope West Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. Delphine, his loving wife, departed eighteen years ago; and Gene has gone home to be with her. Gene and Delphine were childhood sweethearts from ages six and eight years old; they enjoyed sixty-one years together.
Gene was a kind, strong, and giving man; who was loved and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, James Swanson, grandchildren, Dawn, Eric, and Jill, five great-grandchildren, and other friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
