Eugene J. Schultz, 80, of Centralia, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Mr. Schultz was born October 24,1936 in Richview, IL, the son of Leo H. Schultz and Cecilia (Winka) Schultz. Mr. Schultz was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 2055 and V.F.W. Post 446. In his younger years Eugene enjoyed going hunting and fishing.
He also enjoyed playing Bingo and Poker. Mr. Schultz is survived by his sister Ruth Ann Barczewski and her husband Leo of Richview, IL; niece: Sheila Eaton of Sparta, IL; great-niece: Ericka Eaton of St. Louis, MO; nephew: Paul Barczewski and his wife Kathy of Nashville, IL; two great nephews: Andrew Barczewski of Champaign and William Barczewski of Nashville, IL; nephew: Leo Dominic Barczewski and his fiancé Oksana Tevis of Nashville, IL; daughter: Tanya Wynn of Centralia; grandchildren: Aniya Tabor and Jermaine Tabor Jr. of Centralia. He will be missed my cousins and friends. Mr. Schultz is preceded in death by his parents and brother Leroy Schultz.
