My best friend and beloved husband, Eugene Hilton Blair, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2009. He died at his residence, 6688 Whitmell School Road, Danville, VA. Born November 24, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Carrie Haymore Blair and the late Thomas Hylton Blair. Eugene retired from Goodyear Tire Rubber Co. after 33 years of service. He was a member of Shermont Baptist Church and was a member of the Poquoson Tribe of Redmen. Eugene was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. \r\r\nIn addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by a son, Brian K. Blair of Danville, a daughter, Bonnie Pritchett and husband, Rodney of Ridgeway, a brother, Kenneth Blair of West VA and two grandchildren, Cooper and Carlie Pritchett. \r\r\nIn addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Julian Blair and a sister, Patsy Willihite.
