Eugene “Gene” E. Michener, age 91 of Bucyrus, Ohio died at 4:44 P.M., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at home. He was born on September 10, 1930 to Edwone and Orline (Weaver) Michener. He married Sandy (Faurot) Michener on March 24, 1972 and she survives in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Surviving are the following children: Robert (Deb) Michener, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Rodney Michener, Findlay, Ohio, Cindy Emerine, Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Michael (Anita) Michener, Webster, Florida. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren plus one brother, Tom (Marie) Michener, Bucyrus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Judy Michener and a son-in-law, David Emerine, two grandchildren and a sister, Mary Dennis.
Gene was a truck driver having drove truck for Frankenfield Trucking and Ekleberry Trucking over the years plus also retired from the Crawford County Highway Department. He also was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church Bucyrus, Ohio.
For hobbies, Gene loved to squirrel hunt, go coon hunting and take fishing trips to New York and Canada.
