Eugene “Dee” Phillips Jr.
Eugene “Dee” Phillips Jr. died Sunday, April 17, 2016 peacefully at his home in Clinton. He was born April 8, 1942 in Ogden, UT to Eugene Dee and Arlene Donaldson Phillips. He grew up in Ogden where he attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High in 1960. Dee graduated from Weber State University in 1967 and went on to obtain a Master’s of Recreation Education from Brigham Young University in 1968.
He served in the Scottish-Irish Mission from 1961-1963 and later had the opportunity to serve in the Washington D.C. Temple Mission with his eternal companion. He also served as a missionary at the Ogden Bishop’s Storehouse and was a volunteer up to his death.
Dee married Suzanne Cornia on September 2, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They’ve been married almost 52 years.
