Eugene C. (Bear) Baker, 66, of 1117 West Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at his home following an extended illness.

Eugene and his wife, the former Linda L. Eisenhower, would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on June 24.

Eugene retired from the former Carey-McFalls. He was a very avid motorcyclist, hunter and fisherman.

Eugene was a member of the Lycoming Consolidated Sportsman’s and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Born December 3, 1944 in Bloomsburg, he was the son of Lester E. and Lucille R. Boehmer Baker.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Tammy L. Hoffman of Armour South Dakota and Rebecca L. Bennett of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Andrea Wykoff, Audria Hoffman, Alexis Bennett, Victoria and Marissa Baker and a great granddaughter, Cassandra Wykoff.

Eugene was predeceased by a sister, Betty A. Kvalkauskas.
