Etta L. Savchak, 94, formerly of Drexel Hill and of Luther Crest, Allentown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late John Savchak, with whom she shared over 50 years of loving marriage until he passed away in 2004. Etta was born in Drexel Hill to the late Albert A. and Louise (Freise) Lord. She worked as a secretary for Boeing – Vertol in Philadelphia for many years. She was an active member of the Riverview Presbyterian Church in Drexel Hill for many years, and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed knitting and being a grandmother. Survivors: son John Savchak of Bethlehem; daughter-in-law Judy Savchak of Nazareth; granddaughters Lauren Savchak McHarris of Bethlehem, and Lisa Savchak Morris of Easton. Etta was predeceased by her daughter, Lynne Savchak Ross.
