KIMBLE, Ethel L. Of Portage. Ethel passed away Thursday morning, January 27, 2011 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born August 21, 1938 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Charles and Sarah Harvey Channell. Ethel was employed by Portage Public Schools for many years until her retirement, where she worked in the playground, cafeteria, and as a bus driver.
She also worked for Plastic Engineering Corp. for several years. Surviving are five children, Don Kimble of Portage, Rick Kimble of Portage, Ellen Curt Mack of Portage, Kathryn Jim Hatridge of Mendon, and Ben Kimble of Vicksburg; two step-children, Fred Joanne Clark of Otsego and Linda Kimble of Plainwell; nine grandchildren, Natasha, Kassandra, Ben, Kelsey, Joseph, Christopher, Sarah, Patrick, and Abigayle; three sisters, Leona Frank McManus of Traverse City, Charlotte Sherman of Interlochen, and Judy Leston of AL; one brother, Jr. Channell of FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and former husband, Richard Kimble in 2007.
