Ethan Andrew Kellett, 17, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, formerly of LaSalle, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida. Ethan was born June 21, 2000 in Peru to Eric Kellett and Erin Shambaugh. He was a senior at East Lee County High School where he excelled scholastically, achieving a 4.06 GPA. At age 13, he spent three weeks in Europe as an ambassador for his school.
He also played little league baseball. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Eric Kellett and Amber Foltz of LaSalle; his mother and step-father, Erin and Daren Thewlis of Lehigh Acres, FL; three brothers, Jonathan and Andrew Kellett of LaSalle and Avery Thewlis of Lehigh Acres, FL; his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Alice Buczkowski of LaSalle and his maternal grandfather, Allan Shambaugh of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carla Maggio.
