Newark – Esther Nittolo, 82 died Saturday, February 9, 2002 at Via Health of Wayne – Newark Campus.

Mrs. Nittolo was the daughter of Daniel and Cecile Tetor Wood on September 21, 1919 in Palmyra, New York. She retired from Newark Developmental Center in 1975. She was a member of the Newark American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as Chaplain, Newark Elks Lodge, Palmyra Moose Club and was the former Senior Regent, Top of the Hill and the Newark Senior Citizen where she served as Vice President. Mrs. Nittolo at one time volunteered as a grandmother at the Lincoln School in Newark.
Mrs. Nittolo is survived by her son Steven (Linda) Nittolo of Macedon; daughter Pamela Nittolo (Eugene) Lesser of CA.; grandchildren Craig, Scott, Heather Nittolo and Lenny Lesser; brother George (Mary) Wood of TX; sister Margaret Harris of Hilton; many nieces, nephews and special friends and neighbors .
Mrs. Nittolo was predeceased by her husband Anthony Nittolo in 1979; daughter Debbie in 1955; two brothers and one sister.
