Esther was born on November 28, 1920 to Fred and Emma (Warnsholz) Ahrens in Garland, NE. She graduated from Garland High School in 1938. On September 27, 1942, Esther was united in marriage to Lester Luebbe in Seward, NE. Esther and Les were co-owners of Luebbe’s Liquor Store. Esther passed away on February 26, 2012 at Ridgewood Care Center in Seward, NE at the age of 91 years 2 months and 29 days. She is survived by three sons, Larry Luebbe, Seward, NE; Kenneth Luebbe, Seward, NE; Darrell (Ruthe) Luebbe, Evergreen, CO; one daughter, Brenda Topil, Seward, NE; one sister, Helen Schildt, Seward, NE; grandchildren, Jason (Brandi) Turek, Garland, NE; Chad Turek, Seward, NE, Nathan Luebbe of Boulder, CO and Jaime (Rodney) Gorum, Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren, Jaden Luebbe-Gorum, Nevaeh Gorum, Sophia Turek, and Sydney Turek. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; parents, Fred and Emma Ahrens; sisters, Bertha (William) Matthes; Amanda (Henry) Vollstedt; Clara (Eric) Stillahn; Hilda (Carl) Becker; Marie (Paul) Gade; Dorothy (Gustav) Lindner; infant brother and sister, Richard and Emma Ahrens; brother-in-law, Harold Schildt.
