Esther L. Reed, 92, of Freeport, died Friday, December 1, 2006 at Stephenson Nursing Center. Born June 24, 1914 in rural Pearl City she was the daughter of Emil and Harriet (Price) Schulz. She married Delbert Reed March 3, 1935 and he died in 1968.
Esther worked for Kresges at their lunch counter and then was an advertising clerk at Micro Switch until her retirement. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her sons, Larry (Jo Ann) Reed of Annawan, Calvin (Kathy) Reed of San Antonio, TX, and Craig Reed of Freeport; one brother, Alvin Schulz of Freeport; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 1 brother.
