Esther Iva Brown, age 95, of Vicksburg, formerly of Cassopolis, died peacefully Sunday morning, April 17, 2016 in Bronson Commons in Mattawan, Michigan.She was born January 25, 1921 in Dowagiac, Michigan. She married Philo Edwin Brown March 31, 1940 in LaGrange Township, Michigan. He preceded her in death February 8, 1986 after almost forty six years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded by her sisters, Elsie Petcher and Nora Feirick.
Esther will be remembered for enjoying the simple things in life like, reading, crocheting and gardening. She also enjoyed her traveling, especially up to the cabin at Wolf Lake in Baldwin, Michigan. Esther will be greatly missed by family and friends. Left to honor her and remember her love are her two daughters, Elizabeth Reynolds of Panama City Beach, Florida and Linda (husband, Marv) Inman of Vicksburg, Michigan; her son, Thomas (wife, Marjorie) Brown of Portage, Michigan; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; her two sisters, Nina Aldrich of Sturgis, Michigan and Mary Makowski of Niles, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
