Mrs. Esther Christine Ellison
(Stromberg), 98, departed on Saturday May 23, 2009 in The Boyington Nursing Home in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Mrs. Ellison was born in Kearny and lived there until moving to Brick, NJ in 1988. She lived in Brick until moving to Mississippi in 1998.
She was employed as a clerk for Valley National Bank in Kearny for 20 years, retiring 20 years ago.
She was the proud recipient of the Life Membership Award of the United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church of Kearny.
Esther was the devoted mother of Eric Norman Ellison, Rev. Richard C. Ellison (Carol), Mrs. Karen Perry (Richard) and Mrs. Linda Noll (Fred). She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was to be blessed with three new great-grandchildren in 2009.
She was pre-deceased by husband Eric Konrad Ellison, her son Donald Ellison, one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
