Esther Marian (Bielefield) Waller, 98, of Middletown, was born March 15, 1919 in Middletown and went home to her Lord and loving husband, Bill on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Heritage Commons, with her devoted aide and companion, Ann Marie Walker.
Esther was the daughter of the late Annie (Ehlers) and F.J. Bielefield (former Mayor of Middletown) and the youngest of seven children, Ruth, Hazel, Ann, Arthur, Herman and Walter.
Esther grew up and spent her entire life living in Middletown, a city she loved. She attended local schools and upon graduating attended Middletown Business College, leaving early to seek employment as patient’s account supervisor at Connecticut Valley Hospital, a job she excelled at, auditors were amazed at her skill and precision.
