A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Ester was well-loved by her family and friends. She always has that beaming smile and warm personality.  She loved taking her friends and family out for lunch/dinner to catch-up and always have snack treats for everyone. Without any hesitation, she will always wholeheartedly lend a hand.

Ester was a well-educated woman. She graduated from Santa Rita Elementary School and Santa Rita Institute (SRI).  She earned her multiple degrees from Guagua National Colleges with Elementary Teacher College (CTC) course and Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She also took a special course on Home Economics in University of Santo Thomas, followed by another Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce Major in Accountancy from the University of the Assumption.

Ester had a wonderful opportunity to teach at the following schools in the Philippines: Santa Rita Catholic School (SRCS), Sacred Heart Academy (SHA), Hacienda Ramona, Santa Monica Elementary School, and Jose Abad Santos High School (JASH) then later joined the Pampanga Teachers League as their Treasurer.

In September 1976, Ester migrated here in the United States of America together with her siblings.

Ester continued to flourish her professional career and landed roles in BlueCross as a claim processor and in the University of California Office of the President as an administrative specialist where she retired.

Ester’s passion was cooking, gardening, and reading. She enjoyed preparing Filipino dishes and baking goodies. As a meticulous cook, you would definitely see her eyes glow if you serve her buldit manuk (Pygostyle part of the chicken), butul pakwan (dried watermelon seeds), and butul kalabasa (dried squash seeds), those were her simple joys.

Ester had a lot of interests. She loved watching detective, musical, and comedy movies. She was always in tune whenever there was a figure skating competition on the TV program. She loved listening to Matt Monroe, Andy Williams, and Engelbert Humperdinck and she also tried learning the Macarena dance once.  She was always in awe with Princess Diana and Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco. Ester also loved collecting figurines like elephants, beautiful dolls, and Lenox ornaments. She also had coin collections. And little did everyone know, Ester had a Purple Belt in Martial Arts, and also won gold in a competition.

Ester is survived by her 3 siblings and their families.
