Errol W. Austin, a longtime Stoughton resident and well known land surveyor, passed away in Boston after a prolonged illness on Wednesday December 30, 2015. He was 64 years old and the beloved husband of over 42 years to the late Christine A. (Williams) Austin who passed away in 2012. Survivors include his loving children, Michael K. Austin of Stoughton, Kelley A.

Born March 25, 1951 in Hartland, Maine, Errol attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a 1970 graduate of Stoughton High School where he excelled in football and track. He was awarded a full scholarship to URI but opted to take over the family business instead, working for his father at Malcolm E. Austin Associates in Stoughton for over 30 years. He was also a construction engineer for Wagner Excavation for the past 10 years and thanks the entire Wagner family for the opportunity that was afforded to him. Mr. Austin was a former STOYAC football coach, a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing as an active member of the Avon Fish & Game. He also loved to dance. Errol, who was considered a “Mans Man”  by close family and friends, always had a nice word to say about everyone.
