Ernestine Fitzsimons, 85, of Bristol, widow of Francis R. Fitzsimons, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at home. Ernestine was born February 12, 1921 in Mello, Italy, a daughter of the late Egidio and Marie (Baraglia) Baraglia.
Mrs. Fitzsimons was employed at several local companies, retiring from Dayon Manufacturing in Farmington. She was an avid reader, and a Boston Red Sox, and UConn Women’s Basketball fan. She was a member of St.
Ernestine is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patricia Fitzsimons of Wolcott, James and Lee-Ann Fitzsimons of Southington, and Gary and Karen Fitzsimons of Durham, Pennslyvania, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and John Parker of Bristol, and Sally and Joseph Checovetes of Bristol, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Egidio Baraglia Jr., and Theodore Baraglia.
