Ernest Strunk, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday April 18, 2011 at Community Hospital North. He was born July 9, 1921 in Strunk, KY to the late Isom and Maddie Strunk. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. WW II veteran and a member of the American Legion. Ernest belonged to the UAW Local #23 and retired from General Motors in 1984.
He was also a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mr. Strunk is survived by his daughter Judy (Darrell)Van Osdol of Indianapolis; granddaughters Julie Mullins and Darrelene (Mark) Roell, both of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren Victoria Mullins-Arnett and Belle Roell. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma Strunk and eleven siblings.
