Survived by his three cherished children, Ralph Ernest Bucci (Maya), Lizanne Marie Bucci and Doree Reese Blizzard (Chris); his 8 adoring grandchildren, Dante Ernest Bucci, Tavio Ernest Bucci, Amadeo Ernest Bucci, Rico Ernest Bucci, Anthony Ernest Bucci, Lauren Marie Bucci, Gianna Marie Blizzard, and Adrianna Paige Blizzard; his loving sisters; Rachael Magid and Anna Duggan; also his dear nieces, nephews and cousins.Predeceased by his sisters, Florence Sinise, Dolores “Dee” DeFeo, Judy Shelton, Rita Garofoli and Minnie Bucci; also his brothers, Joseph and Louis Bucci.Ernie was born on April 21, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, the 4th of 10 siblings ; Florence (Fiorina), Maria Domenica (Minnie), Joseph, Rita, Julia (Judy), Luigi (Louie), Anna (Muzz), Dolores and Rachael to turn-of-the-century Italian immigrant parents, Mr. Ralph (Raffaele) Bucci and Ms. Anna (Annina) Di Benedetto Bucci. Ernie was a World War II Army veteran who served our country throughout Europe during his enlistment. Having grown up during the onset of the great depression, Ernie’s eternal optimistic viewpoint of life was intimated in one of his most famous quips “although it was the depression, nobody was depressed.” This childhood heartfelt expression was but one example and testament of the love and strength of the Bucci family and of the immigrants of this era.
