ERNEST BANKS HILL, age 79, a resident of Manassas for 45 years died Friday, December 20, 2002 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Mr. Hill was born January 9, 1923 in Hillsville, Virginia son of the late Benjamin R. and Flora Horton Hill. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Manassas and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a teacher for Prince William County Schools and was principal at Manassas Park Elementary School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Sumner Hill who died March 25, 2000. Survivors include three children, Edwin Hill, of Winchester, VA, Ben Hill, of Midlothian, VA, and Patricia H. Peltier, of Columbia, MD and six grandchildren, Amanda Hill, Amy Hill, Heather Hill, Benjamin Hill, Allison Peltier and Emily Peltier.
