Ernest Fred Lane, 79, of Middletown, passed away on March 21, 2014 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on October 3, 1934 in Anderson, Indiana.
He worked for Recreation Equipment for 18 years and retired from Delco Remy, after 30 years of service. He was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church, and enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf and fishing.
Ernest is survived by his loving spouse, whom he married January 25, 1954, Marilyn Sue Boze Lane; sons, Steven Becky Lane of Pendleton, Bret Lane of Anderson, & Bruce Debbie Lane of Churubusco; six grandchildren, Jessica Lane, Cara Lane, Jarod Kirsten Lane, Lindsey Ian Lane-Pointer, Jordan Jericka Lane, & Tierney Lane; five great-grandchildren; his brother Warner Lane of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, and many special friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter Warner Lane Sr, and Lucille Lane; three brothers and five sisters.
