South Bend – Ernest E. Fink, 85, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2013 in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend. He was born on July 7, 1928, in South Bend, to the late James F. and Margaret (Cornish) Fink. On February 12, 1955, he married Mary Alene Ferris, who survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Kaylene (Randy Woods) Fink of Mishawaka, IN and Audrey (Patrick) McFadden of South Bend; his son, Dale Fink of South Bend; four grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Sturgeon, Megan (David) Penn, Scott (Denise) Crawford and Lori (Joshua) McIntire; and 16 great-grandchildren. Ernest was a pressman at the South Bend Tribune for 38 years, before retiring in June of 1990. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Past Commander of the American Legion Post #50 and a life member of the VFW #624. Per his wishes, there will be no services.
