Ernest D. Chesser, 89, of Galien, Michigan died Saturday morning, April 21, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ernest was born December 15, 1922 in Clark County, Illinois to William and Editha (Mills) Chesser. He moved to the Galien area in 1951, and on March 7, 1952 he married Norma Knoblett in South Bend, Indiana.
She preceded him in death on January 19, 2005. He was employed as an electrician at Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, Michigan before his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time in his garden. Ernest was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.Survivors include his children, Doug (Eileen) Chesser of Stevensville, Michigan; Sue Chesser of Buchanan, Michigan and Deb Chesser of Coloma, Michigan; grandchildren, William, Michael, David, Theresa, Anthony and Angela. He was preceded in death by one brother and 4 sisters.
