ERNEST ALLEN GLIDDEN (Sonny) age 83 passed away peacefully at his home in Alaska on January 21 with family by his side.
He was born in Belfast, Maine. He is survived by his spouse Lynn Glidden (Florida); two sons, Michael (Traci) of Alaska, Ernest A. Jr. (Sharon) of Connecticut; one brother, Murlin (Bud) (Joan) of Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, James P., and five brothers, Averill, Ansel, Basil, Wendell (Ike), Willard, and two sisters, Shirley Erickson and Lelah King. He liked being outdoors, and being part of the Masonic Lodge, as well as attending Church. He loved his dog, Toni. He retired from Dupont, Electric Boat, and Precon where he took pride in using his welding skills to build submarines among other things.
