Ernest A. Criscuolo Sr., 89, of Westbrook, entered into rest Dec. 28, 2017 at Gladeview Healthcare, Old Saybrook after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Meriano Criscuolo for 63 years. Born in New Haven on March 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Carmel Piscitelli Criscuolo. He attended local schools and retired from the New Haven Board of Education as a head custodial engineer, working in several area schools. He was a former vice president of Local 287, AFL-CIO. He was formerly employed by Criscuolo’s Parking as an attendant as well as Federal Paper Board. He served in the US Navy from 1946 to 1948. He was a longtime communicant of the former St.
