Ernal Marrs Pitcock, 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Ernal was born on June 20, 1931 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to John B. Pitcock and M. Dona (Tooley) Pitcock.
He was the 12th of 13 children. He married Oleta Collins in 1955. He retired from Schuster Block Inc. after 36 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oleta, of 65 years, his parents, six brothers, and six sisters. He is survived by his children, Robert (Joy) Pitcock, Cheryl (Robin) Vann, Carol (Dale) Keller, and Wayne (Angie) Pitcock, eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Ernal was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Along with spending time with his family, he enjoyed working on cars and sitting on the front porch and socializing with his neighbors. All his grandchildren and great-grandchildren said he made the best fried eggs with bacon.
