Stonewood WV- Erna Mae Linch age 80, of Stonewood went home to be with the Lord on August 6th, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.Erna loved being outdoors, gardening, spending time with family and friends, the Lord, her dog “shorty” and special longtime friend Janie McIntire.She was born September 2, 1932 in Kanawha County, West Virginia; daughter of Howard and Ellsie Young and foster daughter of Roscoe and Vennie Miller.Erna worked many years at Mountain State Linen and later she became a homemaker. Erna attended Stonewall UMC. She enjoyed helping family and friends and especially loved being a grandma.Surviving are one son Emmett “Andrew” Linch; five daughters, Twila Riley, Lavania Linch, Melody Smith, Ramona Nicholas, Arnetta Kelly. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Erna was married to a loving husband Emmett Arnett Linch for 58 years whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are two sisters, Mary Zesamici, Betty Lou Lemasters. One son Howard Bradforde Linch, one grandson Michael Joseph Kelly, one baby brother, her parents and foster parents.
