Those left to honor Erma’s memory are her son, Robert (Carol) Slings of New Brighton, Minnesota; daughter, Connie (Elwood) Van Zee of Newton; her 6 grandchildren, Steven (Laura) Slings, Katie (Matthew) Schaap, Shawn Slings, Angela Van Zee, Nancy Van Zee, and Elden (Shawna) Van Zee; 2 great-grandsons, Mitchell and Connor Van Zee; and her brother, Leland (Betty) Vander Linden of New Sharon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Jennie (Van Ginkel) Vander Linden; husband, Hubert in 2005; her granddaughter, Kimberly Van Zee in infancy; and brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Pauline Vander Linden.
She enjoyed gardening, cleaning and cooking; and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
