Erma Lee Rackley

Erma Lee (Southerland) Rackley, age 92, of Ida, Arkansas passed away at her home on July 10, 2014. She was born in Clay, Arkansas on February 6, 1922 to the late Luther and Cora (Martin) Southerland.
Erma Lee is preceded in death by her husband of twenty-seven years, Johnny Lee Rackley, who passed away July 24, 1969; her parents; grandson, Heath Rackley; her brother, Clois Southerland; daughter, Norma (Rackley) Biggs; a son, Gerald Rackley; and son-in-law, Clois Eddings.
She is survived by one brother, Earl Southerland, and his wife, Ruthell, of Ida; her children: Nelda (Rackley) Eddings of Drasco, Jerry Rackley and his wife, Patricia, of Drasco, and Marian (Rackley) Loyd and her husband, Bobby, of Russellville; son-in-law, Mike Biggs; and a very special cousin who was like a daughter to her, Freda Helms. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Erma Lee was a loving matriarch to her family as well as a hard worker. She retired from the Glove Corporation at the age of 86 after forty-eight years of service.
