Those left to honor Erma’s memory are her son, Bruce (Mary) Schroder of Newton; 3 daughters, Patricia Schroder of Pharr, Texas, Edith Buckalew of Newton, and Armenta (George) Buckingham of Des Moines, Iowa; her 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Faye Hunter of Lake City, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Addie (Phillips) Jones, 2 husbands, Herman Schroder and Normen Richardson; her son, Wilbur; daughter, Sandra; her great-granddaughter, Sarah Schildroth; and son-in-law, Basil Buckalew.
Erma worked in the factory at the Maytag Company for 31 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the local UAW.
