Eris Nixon Huddleston, 89, of Palmetto, GA, formerly of Talladega, AL. passed away at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on Nov. 10, 2011.
Mrs. Huddleston was born in Roanoke, AL on Nov. 28, 1921, the tenth of ten children of the late B.C. and Senith Nixon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, M.A. (Ancy) Huddleston, Jr., her son Marion A. Huddleston, III, and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Huddleston Moates, son-in-law Peter W. Moates – Col. USAF – Ret., two granddaughters, Elizabeth Moates Cain (Brian), and Stephanie V. Moates, and one great granddaughter, Khloe Cain, and many nieces and nephews.
Eris was a devoted Christian and long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Talladega, AL., where she served as a deacon for many years.
