Erica J. Reyes passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, after a long struggle with Scieroderma, in her home in Dallas, TX surrounded by those who loved her dearly, at the age of 59. Erica was born in Mt. Clemens, MI, Dec. 6, 1950 to Raymond J. and Charlotte Artman Schroeder, Sr. She moved to Floresville,TX in 1958 with her family. She graduated from Floresville High School in 1969 and attended the University of North Texas State in Denton, TX, where she worked for 35 years in the Dental field. They have two children, a son and a daughter.
Erica was preceded in death by her father Raymond J. Schroeder, Sr., Stepmother Rubell Schroeder, sister Petra L. Mendoza Martinez, and stepfather Joseph M. Mendoza.
Erica is survived by her husband Joe E. Reyes, her son Jose R. Reyes & spouse Jennifer of Dallas, TX, her daughter Rebecca L. Andrews & spouse Charles “Donnie” of Carrolton, TX, and two grandchildren, Isabella Grace Andrews and Xavier Joseph Reyes. Her mother Charlotte M. Mendoza and brother Jose A. Medoza & spouse Donna of Floresville, TX, sister Sheryl A. Garcia & spouse Hector and brother Raymond J. Schroeder, Jr. & spouse Jentanna of San Antonio, TX, sister Barbara M. Morrow & spouse Paul of Villa Nueva, Guatemala, sister Rosalinda C. Oliver * spouse Ronald of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Joe E. Reyes and family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, technicians, nurses, and staff at Southwestern Medical Center and Davita Brookriver Dialysis Center who cared for Erica. Also to our family and friends for all their kindness and support.
