Eric Robert Aaro
Eric Robert Aaro at 12:02 a.m. on February 20, 2016 passed from this life, which he cherished so much. Eric’s legacy will be one of a selfless devotion and a deeply profound love for his family; a patient and kind demeanor, amazing taste in music, and in the end a tremendous defiance and courage in the face of the inevitable. In his life as well as in death, Eric stands a giant in the eyes of those to whom he is closest.
Eric was one who enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer: A conversation with a friend or a loved one, collecting things that were strange, interesting, or otherwise useful in some capacity, pruning a rose, playing with his grandchildren, and of course, his Oakland Raiders.
He is survived by his loving wife Stacey, his father: Robert Aaro, his three sons: Bryon Crocker (Lacie Ross), Taylor Peterson (Nicole Nielson), and Slade Winberry; his two daughters: Lacey Crocker, Shylah Winberry (Nathan Haigh); and five adoring grandchildren: Jurney Lynn, Gennesse Brieanne, Eizley Jean, Lane Harold and; Jaydah Lisa; also survived by his sisters Kathee (Joe) Bryan and Jana (Brad) Ryal; brothers Patrick (Rena) Aaro and Louie (Karen) Aaro; parents-in-law Charles (Wendy) Driggers, sisters-in-law Shannon Phillips (Cory Mangle) and Brandee Driggers; brother-in-law Charles Jr. (Melinda) Driggers as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue, otherwise known as :”Momma Sue.” His sister, Lisa, and his grandmother Anna.
Though your life was short, you cherished every breath you took, from first, to the last, and though the space you left in our lives can never be filled, we still feel your love, and continue to be inspired by your work-ethic, your patience, your toughness in the face of extreme adversity, and finally, your love of life, and all those so blessed to take part in it.
A good life isn’t always a long one, but still you wished to live forever, as your family, friends and cherished loved ones, we’ll live enough for you, as well as ourselves. Eric, now you are able to ride your Harley like you always wanted, run fast and free.
