Erbie “Ron” Banister, 61, of DeMotte passed away September 23, 2016 at his residence. Ron was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on January 16, 1955 the son of Erbie L. And Mary K. (Hetrick) Banister. He graduated from Rensselaer High School, Class of 1973 and then went on to become a nurse’s aid at the DesMoines General Hospital.
Ron married the love of his life, Sue (Baker) on June 21, 1975 in Rensselaer, IN and they had one son. Ron was affiliated with Hope Community of Rensselaer, Indiana. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching western movies. Ron is survived by his wife: Sue; son: Jeremy (Jennifer) Banister; grandchildren: Wilson and Asher; and siblings: Kathy (David) Geren; Susan Howard; and Raymond Banister. He is preceded in death by both parents.
