Emmett “Loren” Stewart, 82, passed away Wednesday Dec. 2, 2015 in Nineveh.
He was a resident of Brown County.
Loren was born March 31, 1933 in Knox County, Kentucky to Emmett N. and Dorothy Marie (Baker) Stewart.
He married Viola Wilkerson on August 4, 1951 in Fairfield, Indiana; they were married for 64 years.
Loren was employed with CSX Railroad in Beech Grove for 13 years and then with Frontier Trading Post as a welder in Waverly, Indiana for 15 years, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed mushroom hunting, working on his cars and loved to play his guitar.
He was a member of the Neighborhood Church of God in Nineveh for 60 plus years.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Stewart of Nineveh, five children, Sharon (Steve) Griggs of Kentucky, Linda (Thomas) Drollinger and Alice Cox both of Indianapolis, Beverly Murray of Franklin and Randy (Sheila) Stewart of Princes Lakes, five sisters, two brothers and nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister and a great-grandson, Dylan Cox.
